It is a drizzly, dreary day here and we are staying home. So, instead of using this rare opportunity to catch up/clean up, I decided to do something crafty. I have been looking at felt food for a few days and I finally had the time to make some delicious looking strawberries (project idea and free pattern can be found at Little Brown Bird).
The most difficult part to these strawberries is making the French knots…I needed a quick reminder because it has been quite a while since I have made any knots. However, after I made my first strawberry I found that subsequent berries took about 15 minutes each to make. So, this is a great craft for just about anyone that is mildly competent with a thread and needle (including myself) and, if you have any preschoolers in your life, then this would make a treasured gift.
