I have been trying to think of ways to keep my dd entertained during times when I am unavailable to her because of the new little one. So, I have been thinking about the idea of workboxes, but that just seemed to involved for me. After reading quite a few posts about this at the WTM forums, I had a little lightbulb moment.
I decided that I would just use a binder filled with those 2 pocket folders. That way I can cut out activities or tear out pages for my dd to complete on her own (ie. Singapore Earlybird pages, Kumon workbook pages). I also decided to print out some clip art that shows other activities that she can do (ie. kick a soccer ball, set up her train tracks, marble run, puzzles). We will see how this works, but she appeared to be excited about the concept.
